Director of Clinic Services
Heather is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with nearly a decade of experience working with individuals with autism and related neurological disabilities. She has developed systematic career progression and has experience working in-home, in-school, and in-clinic settings.
She holds a strong passion for ABA therapy and thrives on compassionate, quality care while fully maintaining ethical obligations with every aspect of therapy. She has a keene ability to teach individuals with diverse learning styles through Natural Environment Teaching in all settings. Heather strives for positive socially significant behavior change for our clients and ensures long lasting support. She is dedicated to delivering effective results through family collaboration and caregiver training to ensure the best support. Her husband is active duty Army and they have had the privilege to travel and live across the globe and many places nationally. Her hobbies are photography and line dancing. In her free time, she likes to catch up on shows with her husband and their dog, take walks outside and enjoys nature.

Stephane Emmons is the founder of Trevor’s Place, a passionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and a mother whose personal journey inspired a mission to support families of children with special needs. After navigating years of therapies, diagnoses, and the complexities of military life with her son Trevor—who was born with multiple developmental challenges—Stephane turned her experience into purpose. With over a decade in the field and a heart for advocacy, she created Trevor’s Place to offer compassionate, high-quality therapy services and unwavering support to families, just like hers.

 Mary Shabunia
Director of Operations
Mary is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience in the medical industry. She currently serves as the Director of Operations for Trevor’s Place. With a certification in Human Resources and a deep understanding of healthcare operations, she leads with both strategic vision and empathy. Throughout her career, she has successfully started and managed multiple medical specialty offices, demonstrating her expertise in practice development and operational. A passionate advocate for quality care and community engagement, she has served on multiple community boards, using her experience to drive positive change and support underserved populations.
